About »
We have listened to the hundreds of customers, businesses, organisations and groups that have passed through the doors of the Mains of Scotstown Inn and they all come back with a similar story of lack of community spirit, no one talks, neighbours don’t talk, kids these days are different...... and so on. You have all heard the same verse from someone you know, somewhere.
So how can we make a change, what will change the perceptions of these people?
What will make a real difference?
Well lets face it as time moves on there will undoubtably less services available to the community when the government cut backs are in full swing. And if we don't take a handle on things now then they may not get any better, and in some cases will only get worse.
So…. This is my goal…!
I have encouraged a number of local businesses & services in Bridge of Don to come together to make a difference in Bridge of Don. Most of the activities are progressive in planning and building a stronger community throughout the year, keeping community interest and involvement, helping to raise funds to
re-invest back into the community.

In September 2010 we contacted Aberdeen City Council and The Bridge of Don Partnership in an effort to put some of the old ideals back in to the sport light and we set up "Our Gala Project (Bridge of Don)".
